NSMAA participate in conservation and beautification of the Buffalo Bayou water way. The associationwill commit to 4 days a year with volunteer work at the Buffalo Bend Nature Park located at 2300 South Sgt Macario Garcia (map). Our tasks include invasive species removal, litter and debris removal, nativeplantings, and habitat and forest restoration. Please join us on the following Saturdays at 9:00 AM:
- February 4th, 2012
- April 7th, 2012
- June 2nd, 2012
You will not need to bring any tools. You are welcome to bring your own boots and gloves. If not, please let us know your boots size. Please RSVP as breakfast will be served.

The #6 Houston Cougars are going to the Conference USA Football Championship on Saturday December 3. You, your friends and your family are invited to tailgate pre-game with the NSMAA and CenterPoint Energy. Join us for food, drinks and fun. You can find us on the Scott Street side of the stadium at the Tailgate Village in the Alton “Red” Velselka Pavilion. Please look for the NSMAA banner. Tailgating starts at 9am and kickoff is at 11am.
